P-90 Humbucker on a Strat, Bridge Position?

Is it possible? I heard someone say that you could bore out a hole and place the Humbucker there, but will my quality change? Will my volume levels be off? Is it a very difficult process, or can I trust my local music shop luthier to do it? And how expensive would a procedure like that cost (humbucker included)?
