Is there any other software like iTunes that I can use instead for making playlists and such for my Ipod?

Also, is there a way to scroll over many songs at once without clicking on each one individually in iTunes? Its a pain to click on each one one at a time to add or remove from a playlist. I asked this before but i meant to beable to do different tasks for my ipod. I had responses that WMP and winamp but not sure if you can do ipod stuff with those programs. Thanks
