Is it difficult for a offender to get a job?

my friend Jonathan just got release from prison on Nov 16 after serving 8 years for 3 counts of child molestation. He is still has to report with a paroled officer for the next 3 years. He is been my neighbor since we were kids. I accept him as he is but I'm upset about what he did. He has been coming to my house mostly everyday to come eat because its tough for him to get a job. What type of jobs do they have for child molesters? and where can he go?
