How do i talk to my dad about my boyfriend?

omg i hate it when a girl has to talk to her dad about boyfriends, my dad is like, the most stubborn man in the world, but hes used to it now. I first always told my mom, idk i trust her more then my dad lol. Then i would try to find when my dad is in the happiest mood lol, and bring your mom along lol, idk it made me more comfortable, and when i firt told my dad, i talked really fast so he would be confused and like ''okay yea'' but it didnt work, . You just have to tell him striaght up good luck!
