Where does this name come from?

Ok, this has been in my mind for quite sometime, I saw a guy's last name.. and it's Innis.. and I was just wondering where or what ethnicity? If you don't get it.. here's an example, my aunt's name is Mildh and her husband is finnish (and swedish, or poland, or something).
