Anybody know validation code in dreamweaver websites?

I've got some code in my webpage that I have to to for college, which part of it is validating a form, the Code I have does not work, the lecturer has looked and said he doesn't know what's wrong and now he's busy helping someone else so does anyone have a clue as to what might be wrong?
