What is the best, quickest and cheapest way to get from the San Francisco Airport to Fisherman's Wharf?

My husband and I are going the first week in June and staying at a hotel at Fisherman's Wharf and the buses, streetcars and cable cars are all a little confusing to me. Thanks.
